The AC Milan Home Jersey 2014 – 2015 is now available from the Soccer Box online store. The design is a break from the usual shirt style for the Rossoneri as the club logo has been replaced by the St George’s Cross, with several other changes. At first look the shirt bears all the traits of a typical AC Milan football shirt but closer attention to detail will show that for the first time the stripes are different in width, with two tones of red being used for the shirt stripes. The St George cross was the badge on the very first Milan football shirt and it is also the symbol of the city of Milan. Despite being founded by an Englishman, the football club uses the cross as half of their team crest to represent their city. The cross has only been worn as the badge during one other football season, back in 1999/2000 to mark the centenary of the club. The football shirt for next season’s campaign will be worn in Serie A and the Copa Italia, but after a disappointing season Clarence Seedorf’s Milan team finished in 8th place, narrowly missing out on European football. The shirt comes with a round neck collar and two-button polo shirt style neck. The classic Adidas three stripes are across the football shirt shoulders in white, and inside the shirt collar is the Italian flag tricolor pattern of green, white, and red.
