YSI Pro20 Handheld Dissolved Oxygen Field Kit with 10 Meter Cable
The YSI Pro20 10-Meter Field Kit has a handheld dissolved oxygen (DO) and temperature meter with graphical backlit display, glow-in-the-dark keypad, rubber over-mold case, military standard connectors, and One Touch Cal feature that calibrates the meter within three seconds. The kit includes a 10m cable with polarographic DO probe. The meter has on-screen instructions and a selectable language of English, Spanish, French, or German, can store 50 data sets, and has an internal barometer to ensure accuracy. The response time is 95% response in eight seconds with a standard membrane. The meter runs on two alkaline C-cell batteries (included) and is impact-resistant and waterproof, with Ingress Protection 67 (IP67). Additional certifications include Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS), European Conformity (CE), and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE). DO meters are commonly used in water-quality testing applications.
DO (%) range | 0 to 500% air saturation |
DO (%) accuracy | 0 to 200% air saturation, + or - 2% of the reading or + or - 2% air saturation, whichever is greater; 200 to 500% air saturation, + or - 6% of the reading |
DO (%) resolution | 0.1% or 1% air saturation (user selectable) |
DO (mg/L) range | 0 to 50 mg/L |
DO (mg/L) accuracy | 0 to 20 mg/L, + or - 2% of the reading or + or - 0.2 mg/L, whichever is greater; 20 to 50 mg/L, + or - 6% of the reading |
DO (mg/L) resolution | 0.01 or 0.1 mg/L (user selectable) |
Temperature range | -5 to 55°C (0 to 45°C; DO compensation range for mg/L ) |
Temperature accuracy | + or - 0.2°C (+ or - 0.3°C cables over 45-meters) |
Temperature resolution | 0.1°C |
Weight (with batteries) | 475g / 1.05 lbs |
Dimensions | 21.6 x 8.3 x 5.6cm/ 8.5 in x 3.25 in x 2.21 inches (H x W x D) |
H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back
.Dissolved oxygen (DO) meters measure the amount of dissolved oxygen present in water. The amount of DO helps to determine, for example, drinking water quality, the health of lakes or streams, and aquatic organism sustainability. A probe, also called a sensor or electrode, is inserted into the sample to perform the measurement, and the results appear on the meter display. Applications include sewage and water treatment plants, pollution control, fish farms, and various types of manufacturing.
