Where Rivers Meet
EMI Records are pleased to announce the first major UK release of three very special albums from Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri: Almost Naked - Kiki Dee Live/Kiki Dee' (1995), 'Where Rivers Meet' (1998) and 'The Walk Of Faith' (2008) bring the duo's catalogue to well deserved nationwide attention. The collaboration of Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri brings together their eclectic backgrounds from the worlds of soul, pop and rock and results in an acoustic act that pushes the boundaries and takes the listener on a journey through the emotions. Since they first started working together over a decade ago, Carmelo and Kiki have been on a journey that has not only resulted in beautiful music that speaks straight to the heart, but also on a road of growing and learning for the guitarist and vocalist. They are equally at home doing an acoustic arrangement of a known song or experimenting with Indian drones and tablas. Kiki's impeccable vocal abilities have established her impressive credentials as a musician during a career which has spanned some three decades. She has covered all bases - from classic interpretations of soul hits, to a repertoire of live and recorded material which includes eight UK Top Forty hits as well as masterful performances in major West End musicals. Having been the first European artist to be signed to Tamla Motown, she then went on to enjoy major success on Elton John's label Rocket Records with hits such 'Amoureuse', 'I've Got The Music In Me' and the No.1 duet with Elton John 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart'.
