Wheaton Potter-Elvehjem Tissue Grinders have a PTFE pestle tip with stainless steel rod that can be used with power homogenization for soft tissue such as brain or liver. The stainless steel rod is 6.3 mm in diameter and the grinding chamber clearance is 0.1 to 0.15 mm. The can be used for power homogenization; however it is strongly recommend to use safety-coated tissue grinders (see Wheaton 358003 series) when using power homogenization. Glass components manufactured from Wheaton 33 low extractable borosilicate glass that conforms to USP Type I and ASTM E-438 Type I, Class A requirements. Metal pestle made from No. 316 stainless steel rod with pestle tip made from PTFE.
