The Wej-It Wej-Con concrete screw cuts threads into concrete, hollow block, brick, mortar, and concrete masonry units (CMUs) to provide a secure hold without requiring threaded inserts. The anchor is made of 1022 carbon steel for strength and has a corrosion-resistant blue R-Blocker coating that meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) B117 standards to resist 1,000 hours of salt spray. The hex washer head has six flat sides that a wrench can grip to turn from the side, enabling use when there is no space above the head for a screwdriver. It also has a linear slot for use with a flat-blade driver. The head's washer increases the fastener's bearing surface and distributes the clamping force over a larger area, reducing damage to the fixture being fastened.

The twin-lead threads and the fully threaded point cut into the mounting material to secure the screw placement and resist pull-out. The screw includes a drill bit to create the correct size hole for installation. The screw can be removed and reinstalled into the same hole to enable fixture changes or screw replacement.
