Wasp WWS550I Freedom Wireless Barcode Scanner with USB Base, 5 mil Resolution, 230 scan/s Scan Rate, 3.4 VDC
The Wasp WWS550I Freedom wireless barcode scanner has a handle, comes with a USB wireless adapter to connect wirelessly to a smartphone, tablet, or computer, and can be used to scan and decode linear one-dimensional (1D) barcodes. This handheld barcode reader contains CCD (charge-coupled device) light sensors that can scan barcodes from up to 12" away at a resolution of 5 mm and a speed of up to 230 scans per second. CCD barcode scanners are typically more accurate than laser scanners and more resistant to wear. A USB wireless adapter allows the barcode reader to wirelessly transmit barcode data to an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet from up to 33 ft. away unobstructed or a Microsoft Windows computer from up to 160 ft. away unobstructed.
A lithium-ion battery enables the barcode reader to make up to 3,960 scans on one charge. Indicators alert the user when the device is out of wireless range or running low on battery power. It can withstand drops of up to 5 ft. on a concrete floor. A stand (sold separately) enables the barcode reader to be used in a fixed position. This product weighs 5.6 oz. and measures 6.3 x 2.4 x 4.2 inches (H x L x W). (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right.)
