Walking in Sonship
You need the mind set of a son (not gender specific) to possess your birthright. A spirit of sonship requires specific choices and new skills. Both men and women are called to know God as a son and as the Bride of Christ. Our culture generally causes us to think like slaves not sons. These five teachings will give you precise steps of action to accelerate your transition. Session One: Becoming a Son There are seven facets of fathering. Most of us missed one or more facets of fathering so we compensate with behavior that looks acceptable but actually reveals a slavery mind set. As an adult you can fill in all the fathering deficits instead of compensating for them. Session Two: Territorial Warfare Territorial warfare that focuses on demonic structures is appropriate for people with a spirit of slavery. Those walking in sonship use a different style of warfare that deals effectively with the demonic but also transforms the community. Session Three: Intercession for Sons New Testament intercession is distinctly different from "standing in the gap." It requires knowing both the heart and the mind of the Father. Learn how to transform your spirit so you instinctively see the world from the vantage point of a son and your intercession reflects the Father's perspective. Session Four: Developing Sonship in Your Children Our culture is deeply vested in nurturing a child's soul. However, God designed our spirit to lead, not the soul. Whether your children are in the womb or have children of their own, you will find many tools here that will stimulate the growth of your children's spirit with or without their willing participation. Session Five: Husbands Who Walk in Sonship Almost every Christian has sought at some time or another to serve God at a very high level. Most have risked walking by faith and have stumbled in spite of extreme commitment and pure intentions. There is one foundational discipline that marks the difference between a slave and a son. Adding this discipline to all you already have can transform your life. (To see other titles by this author use the Advanced Search and type Arthur A. Burk in the Author box.
