2009 collection from the late great Brazilian vocalist containing her 1966 album The Face I Love plus bonus tracks. Sylvia Telles was arguably the most talented Brazilian vocalist of the '50s and '60s and was indeed the first Bossa Nova singer in Brazil. The much-cherished Sylvia Telles dedicated her short career to one man: Antonio Carlos Jobim. Jobim was the supreme composer of his generation and the admiration was reciprocal with many of these songs being handed directly to her. Invariably, Sylvia would then create the definitive version; establishing the exact mood in which these historic compositions should be sung. El Records.
