The print is of my original painting in acrylics, designed to look like a stone carved with runic symbols and artwork. The Vikings often used deep red pigments to highlight their recessed carvings, so I adopted the same color scheme. The words are in English, obviously, but I have adapted the Futhark rune shapes to look like English letters, which reinforces the Scandinavian aesthetic. Interlocking knots decorate the border, and a Viking longship sails along the bottom of the stone.
