Value Plastics L40-1 White Nylon Tube Fitting, Classic Series Barbed 90 Degree Elbow, 5/32" (4.0 mm) Tube ID (Pack of 25)
The Value Plastics Classic Series barbed 90 degree elbow is made of nylon and has tube connectors. This 90-degree elbow fitting, or "ell," has angled barbs and connects two tubes at a 90-degree angle to change the direction of flow between pipes. It connects to tubing on both ends. This fitting is made of nylon, for strength and durability, as well as being lightweight and having abrasion-, crush-, and crack-resistance. It has a longer barb which extends the sealing surface of the fitting, expanding the inside diameter (ID) of the tubing from 42 to 69 percent for increased seal strength.
Pipe and tube fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Barbed fittings are characterized by the presence of angled barbs that grab and hold on the inner diameter (ID) of a hose. They are designed so that hose is easily mounted over the fitting, but is difficult to remove. When purchasing fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
Value Plastics manufactures plastic tubing fittings and connectors. The company, founded in 1968, is headquartered in Ft. Collins, CO, and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001:2008.
