Vacuolar Protein Sorting 26 (Vacuolar Protein Sorting 26 (Yeast), VPS 26, VPS26, FLJ12930, Hbeta58, Hbeta58 Homolog, HB58, hVPS26, MGC94168, PEP8A, Vacuolar Protein Sorting 26 A, Vacuolar Protein Sorting 26A, Vacuolar Protein Sorting 26 Homolog A, Vacuolar Protein Sorting-associated Protein 26A, VPS26A, Vesicle Protein Sorting 26, Vesicle Protein Sorting 26A) (AP), V0649-94C-AP-200ul
VPS26A is a component of a large multimeric complex, termed the retromer complex, involved in retrograde transport of proteins from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network. The close structural similarity between the yeast and human proteins that make up this complex suggests a similarity in function. Expression studies in yeast and mammalian cells indicate that this protein interacts directly with VPS35, which serves as the core of the retromer complex. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Do not freeze alkaline phosphatase conjugates which could result in a substantial loss of enzymatic activity. Light sensitive. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
