VF Prime DSLR Camera LCD Viewfinder for 3" LCD

The VF Prime is a DSLR mountable viewfinder that attaches directly over your camera's LCD screen. Most DSLR LCD screens are small so trying to hold the camera in front of you while pulling focus and framing a shot can lead to shaky footage. If you happen to be outside in direct sunlight or around bright studio lights, the glare alone can make it difficult, if not impossible to focus the camera. When mounted over the camer's LCD screen, the VF Prime introduces stability by providing another point of contact with the body. Holding the eyepiece up to the eye not only helps stabilize the camera, it eliminates glare which makes it easier to focus and frame shots. And for those of us with less than perfect eyesight, the 3x focusable magnification makes shooting on a DSLR a lot easier! Durable ABS Construction The VF Prime is molded from ABS plastic which is used extensively to produce products that are both lightweight and strong such as piping, musical instruments and golf club heads. This is especially important to filmmakers who are constantly packaging, unpacking, assembling and shooting in less forging production environments. 3x Magnification One of the things most DSLR filmmakers must contend with is the relatively small LCD screen used to frame and focus their scenes. Holding the DSLR out in front while trying to steady and focus the camera at the same time can be quite challenging. By attaching the VF Prime to the DSLR, filmmakers add another point of contact with the body (helping to minimize camera shake) plus it magnifies the LCD screen to 3x's its normal size. Adjustable Focus The VF Prime was developed to give filmmakers the capability to adjust focus to +/- 4 diopters. Having the ability to adjust the focus of the VF Prime means filmmakers can remove their glasses and comfortably place their naked eye up against the soft rubber eyecup of the viewfinder, thereby creating a seal that blocks all external light.
