Certain electronics devices like hair straighteners, hair dryers, etc are high voltage and use a lot of power.

These high wattage devices will only work with this step up converter if the wattage of your hair straightener or hair dryer is LESS THAN 30 WATTS and RATED AT VOLTAGE BETWEEN 220/240V (50/60Hz).

Unfortunately most hair straighteners and hair dryers have much higher wattage and do not work with this device.

For shavers, computers, phones, etc, they are primarily low wattage and as long as they are LESS THAN 30 WATTS and RATED AT VOLTAGE BETWEEN 220/240V (50/60Hz), they will work with this converter no problem.
