Unisource SF21 Stainless Steel Cryogenic Liquid Transfer Hose Assembly, 1/2" Stainless Steel NPT Male Connection, 1075 PSI Maximum Pressure, 48" Length, 1/2" ID
The Unisource SF21 stainless steel cryogenic liquid transfer hose, suitable for use in cryogenic liquid or liquefied gas transfer operations, is constructed with a corrugated 321 stainless steel tube for flexibility and resistance to extreme temperatures, and a single-braid 300 series stainless steel reinforced cover for the strength necessary to reach its maximum pressure rating. This hose assembly remains flexible in temperatures ranging from low cryogenic temperatures to 1,500 degrees F. It comes equipped with two factory-installed stainless steel male National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) threaded connections. This hose is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including medical, food transportation, electrical equipment cooling, and others.
Industrial hoses and hose assemblies transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses or hose assemblies, use the STAMPED method to help determine the type of hose needed:
S= Size (ID, OD, and length)The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses and hose assemblies are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.
T= Temperature (maximum and minimum temperatures of material being transported)
A= Application (industry or process)
M= Material (to be conveyed, type and concentration)
P= Pressure (maximum working pressure)
E= Ends (type of end connectors or couplings on hose)
D= Delivery method (volume and velocity)
Unisource manufactures industrial, hydraulic, and sanitary hoses as well as expansion joints and braided connectors. The company, founded in 1980, is headquartered in Portland, OR.
