Unisource 401-L Stainless Steel Connnector Hose Assembly, 1-1/4" Stainless Steel NPT Male Connection, 570 PSI Maximum Pressure, 13" Length, 1-1/4" ID
The Unisource 401-L stainless steel connector hose assembly, suitable for providing noise and vibration control in connection to pumps, chillers, compressors, and other mechanical equipment, consists of a tube constructed of corrugated 300 series stainless steel for flexibility, resistance to high temperatures, and absorption of vibration; and a cover reinforced with a single braid of 300 series stainless steel to support its maximum working pressure rating. The assembly has a longer overall length than the industry standard, resulting in greater noise and vibration control and an increased lateral offset rating. It can withstand temperatures up to 800 degrees F, and comes equipped with two stainless steel male National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) threaded connections. This hose assembly has a maximum permanent offset rating of 2". It is suitable for a variety of water or compressed air transfer applications where noise and vibration reduction are important.
Industrial hoses and hose assemblies transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses or hose assemblies, use the STAMPED method to help determine the type of hose needed:
S= Size (ID, OD, and length)The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses and hose assemblies are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.
T= Temperature (maximum and minimum temperatures of material being transported)
A= Application (industry or process)
M= Material (to be conveyed, type and concentration)
P= Pressure (maximum working pressure)
E= Ends (type of end connectors or couplings on hose)
D= Delivery method (volume and velocity)
Unisource manufactures industrial, hydraulic, and sanitary hoses as well as expansion joints and braided connectors. The company, founded in 1980, is headquartered in Portland, OR.
