US Cargo Control 5/8 Inch Stainless Steel Type 316 Screw Pin Anchor Shackles - Each with a 2.0 Ton Capacity

This stainless steel anchor shackle has a 5/8" screw pin and a 2.0 ton working load limit. Stainless steel shackles are great for marine or high humidity applications. Carbon steel rusts when exposed to the combination of air and water, an iron oxide film is created that is active and accelerates corrosion by duplicating itself. Stainless steel has a sufficient amount of chromium present so that a chromium oxide film forms, which is passive. This film prevents further corrosion and prevents it from spreading to the internal part of the anchor shackle.
