Topeak Alien II Multi Tool
Topeak's Alien tools have long been favored (and copied) for their ingenious and ergonomic pull-apart design and well thought-out tool assortments. The Alien II has 26 total tools, making it the most comprehensive multi-tool in the Alien line. Like all Aliens, the II splits in two for ease of use. If you're comparing it to the very similar 25-tool Alien III, the differences we notice are that the II includes a miniature 15mm pedal wrench, whereas the III does not, as well as 2 tire levers that are integrated into the tool body, whereas the III has just one tire lever. and it doesn't have spoke wrenches for Mavic and Shimano wheelsets, while the III does So if you don't ride a Mavic or Shimano wheelset with brand-specific spokes, the Alien II should have everything you'll need for trail or roadside repairs. A pressed stainless steel frame with engineering-grade plastic provides the strength needed in a lightweight design. The tool bits are made from chromoly steel for a precise and durable tool. The Alien II is also equipped with a chain tool that's compatible with all singlespeeds, and most multi-speed chains -- including 10-speed chains. The Alien II also comes with a chain hook to assist with chain repairs. As for Allen bits, this Alien has them covered from 2 to 10mm, with a T25 Torx also included. 8, 9, and 10mm box-end wrenches, along with 14, and 15-gauge spoke wrenches, and #2 Phillips/flat-head screwdrivers, round out the Alien II's features. The Topeak Alien II Multi Tool comes with a compartment for two chain pins and a nylon bag to protect the Alien in a pack.
