“Toe Tags & TNT by Rolland Love is NOT a book for the faint hearted. It is a strong, gutsy vivid rollicking tale about two young men and their adventures driving across America.

The characters are well portrayed and one can almost smell the gun smoke and begin to sweat when the unwelcome hitchhiker Harley climbs on board their camper van. The reader is propelled along witnessing one Harley happening after another, and sharing the sighs of relief when the narrator lives to see another day!

The dominant character is of course the weird, manic Harley, but the introduction of Long Dog, a bitser dog nearly steals the limelight! It is not until nearly half way through this rollicking adventure that the reader understands the title of the book through a hilarious lunch in a hospital morgue! But you'll need to read the book to discover the reason. It is only in the last chapter, that all them loose ends are tied up neatly and skillfully by Love. "This is not the first of Rolland Love's books that I have reviewed. Each one I declare to be my favorite as I am reading and this was no exception. In his offering Toe Tags & TNT Writer Love has produced another in his MARK TWAIN type fun romps filled with captivating players and marvelous detail. The scene is set from the outset when we meet the weary, bickering twosome of old friends and is carried on through out the narrative to the end at the Bass Pro Shops in Springfield. Missouri.

Here's an excerpt from the book where Mark, one of the engineers that works for the EPA who Harley has kidnapped is describing the bizarre scene. "I wished I had a video camera to film our little group of social rejects. I thought Randall and I had reached the pinnacle of weirdness in traveling companions with the trio of Harley, Moon Love and Long Dog. But I was wrong. Anyone who looked like Ms. Alberta Canada, lived out of a 1958 Edsel parked in a rest area, fell in love at first sight with a snaggle toothed, scraggly looking escaped convict and agreed to climb onboard a motor home with a bunch of strangers and a disease ridden dog definitely won the contest."

Toe Tags & TNT is the ONLY fiction I've written that is ONLY for Adult readers and takes place on the open road. The remainder of my stories and novels are set in the Ozark Mountains and enjoyed by readers of ALL AGES.
