To Catch a Thief: Bounty Hunter 1

Thane's first conscious thought was; Goddess, drank so damn much last night I can hardly move. A second later, when he did try to move, he came to full consciousness and near panic. He was bound on his stomach. Struggling, he felt the tether on his ankles, the leash and leather collar.
Who did this? Can't even see... Goddess, I'm hooded... Gagged!... NO!... Oh no...
He struggled ferociously for a moment then a big hand caught his wrists and held him down.
"Easy, you're fine. Behave, no escape attempts, keep a civil tongue in your head and you'll get along fine.
He pulled at his wrists but whoever was holding him was damn strong, big too. It was a male's voice, deep, authoritative.
Am I under arrest in the town lock-up? Did I drink too much and bust up the tavern?...
The pressure on his wrists and back increased. "Behave. You can't get loose, you have to know that."

Tymiran is the best bounty hunter on Arkia. When he takes a private contract with a rich merchantess to hunt down a thief everything seems straightforward. At least at first. He finds and catches his target, a young rojoi male who is extremely attractive and things start to get complicated.
The kid tells a very convincing story. There's a ring of truth to everything he says and yet... Does it just seem that way because Tymiran wants him? Or is something much more sinister going on here? There is a way to be completely sure but will the rojoi agree?
