Tire Swing
Easy to install tire swing for children ages 3 and up. The swing can be attached to a swing set, pole or tree branch. Your little ones will have a lot of fun! Placement: Install the swing at least 6.5 feet from any structure or obstruction such as a tree trunk, fence, garage, house, overhanging branches, laundry lines or electrical lines. Play area surfaces: Recommended surface materials are available in two basic types: loose-fill and unitary Loose-fill materials can have adequate shock absorbing properties when set up at a sufficient uncompressed depth of at least 6 inches. These materials include sand (fine and course), gravel (fine and medium) and shredded wood products (wood mulch, shredded bark, wood chips). Loose Fills should not be installed over hard surfaces such as asphalt or concrete. The depth or the loose-fill materials can be reduced due to use, resulting in the shock absorbing characteristics to differ. For this reason it should be a consideration that the depth of the loss-fill materials be greater than recommended minimum. Unitary materials are generally rubber mats or a combination of rubber-like materials which are held by a binder that may be poured in place at the playground site and sets to form a unitary shock absorbing surface.
