Timex Ironman Target Trainer Digital Heart Rate Monitor
What really sets the Timex Ironman Target Trainer Digital Heart Rate Monitor apart from other heart rate watches is its slimmed down design, which is great if you don't like running with a bulky watch but still want advanced training features. Another difference is that this watch utilizes a Flex-Tech digital sensor that eliminates cross-talk and electronic interferences between other heart rate monitors. The sensor also gives you everything you'd expect out of a heart monitor, including target heart rate zones, your average heart rate during a workout, and both calculations and percentages of your maxed-out heart rate. This watch even has a recovery heart rate timer so you don't rest too long, and there are alarms that let you know when it's time to replenish your body with nutrition and hydration. For running, Timex integrated a 100-hour chronograph with lap, split, and countdown times, and a 200-lap memory gives you an extended record of your progress. To activate the chronograph, all you have to do is firmly tap the screen while you're running. There's also a target time pacer that gives visual and audible feedback when laps are logged, and two interval timers let you push your prowess as a runner every time you hit the track. It's water-resistant to 100-meters, and you can check the time or set one of the three alarms in the dark thanks to the Indiglo nightlight.
