His sole object is the promotion of Philosophy Science, and I ndustry; and if he be at all successful in accomplishing that, he will feel amply rewarded for his trouble. In as much as the Beaver, which is a constructive and industrious animal, is the national emblem of Canada, it is thought that if Canadians would give more attention to the original principles of their country, and labour more faithfully to carry out its true purposes, it would be the moans of saving this grand Dominion from the vortex of ruin by which it is threatened in the form of a spurious gcntility.
