Salome Myers was a young girl in Gettysburg when the Civil War invaded her town. Sally put aside her fears and pitched in to help the large number of wounded soldiers as a nurse. The diaries she left behind give a glimpse of life in Gettysburg and the role many women played during the war to comfort the casualties.
