Once upon a time, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, there was a wonderful college made just for women. For 113 years, from 1893 to 2006, it nurtured generations of students. It was called Randolph-Macon Woman's College. Chapter by chapter, at five years apiece, this is the story of how those students lived, what they did, what they thought, and, especially, how they had fun.

Volume 2, 1924-1944, covers the riotous "Freshman Elections," in which the Freshmen were expected to earn the right to become an official class by outwitting the Sophomores. It covers the gradual shift from "class parties" to "class plays," including the beginning of the battles over the Sophomore Play. It covers the change from Field Day with its intramural sports events to May Day and the crowning of the May Queen. And it covers the beginnings of the Senior Dinner Dance.
