The Practical Vibration Primer
The Practical Vibration Primer, by Charles Jackson, was the first book on machinery vibrations written expressly for the user. It deals with the basics - alignment, balancing, and vibration of machines. Even though the book is over 25 years old, it contains material not presented in other publications and is therefore considered a classic. The Primer is filled with ideas on good machine practice that will help the user not only understand what is important, but what responses occur when trouble occurs.
