The Landoscape of Oshima
Aiko Nadoyama was good at describing natural features of Okinawa. In his notable works, the seashore of Okinawa with Sabani boats or landscapes of houses which have red tiled roofs are described. He had continued to paint until one month before he died, pursuing landscapes of fishing ports such as Ikei Island, Miyagi Island, and Itoman City. His works are full of warmth, and many viewers are fascinated by his care for colors. Above all, he was so proud of Okinawa culture.
