The Gradual Convergence: Foreign Ideas, Foreign Influences, and English Law on the Eve of the 21st Century
The theme of this study is "Learning from Europe." The contributors discuss concrete areas of the law in which there are underlying similarities and common problems in the major European Law systems. The picture which emerges is one of the growing "Europeanization" of English law, and of the spreading influence of European judicial styles throughout the English legal system. Longer essays written by academic commentators are followed by comparative commentaries written by several of Britain's leading judges.
