ACKNOWLEDGMENTS Visiting 11 different Six Flags Theme Parks in seven different cities (since this writing, there are now 12 in eight cities) was quite an undertaking. Chronicling each and every nook, cranny, hill, valley, ride, automatic teller machine, and water fountain in each of those parks was a tedious task that would not have been possible without the tremendous help afforded us by the park employees themselves. Personally, I'd like to acknowledge my daughter Carrie, who spent more than 30 days on the road with me visiting 11 parks. She provided me with an entirely new way of looking at parks, and those perceptions helped shape this book.
