It is the beginning of the 1900s. The Wild West is quickly being tamed by the Industrial Age. The famous and feared mountain man--Coker Owen Ford--has died, leaving the grandchildren he saved from their evil relatives to live with a farm family in northeast New Mexico. From their past, two violent brothers arrive in Tucumcary seeking revenge on the grandfather. Life is still hard for the kids and they must grow up quickly, for better, or worse, leaving their childhood behind.
