The Elementalist: The Kothian Chronicles

Maxim was a young orphan surviving on the streets of Woodhaven. Alone, cold and hungry, each day was a struggle for survival. However, a series of events not only change who he is, but what he is. A new life is opened up to him, as the powers within, which had been dormant for so long, are suddenly awoken.
He soon finds himself being hunted. With the help of new friends, he journeys southward to Pitford. Here he hopes to learn how to nurture and control his powers.
Kothia is a nation where magic is deemed a threat, and where the monarchy struggles to keep control from a corrupt government. Moreover, its neighbour also has ambitions to extend its borders, and Maxim's powers soon attract their interest.
