The Chosen Place
This is a story of a young girl growing up on a 1940s homestead in Old Chugiak, Alaska. The author writes: "My memoir describes my childhood the way I percieved it from my parents' memories on the homestead and from the highlights I can recall, especially those that provide useful information as well as being out-of-the-ordinary as life was in Alaska during 1947 to 1952."
