The Best of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach
Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach is considered by many to be the foremost Jewish religious songwriter of the 20th century. His singing career began in Greenwich Village, where he was a contemporary of Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger. Spanning 1958 1981, this 28-track compilation takes tracks from his early cantor years, preceding his two releases on Vanguard in the mid- 60s, as well as later periods up until his death in 1994.
