Terminating Terrorism 2nd edition
Letter to the editor of The Toledo Blade 10/31/14
Since the war for southern independence erroneously called the civil war America has been involved in continuous wars. Now Leon Panetta thinks the war on terrorism will last 30 years. Others say it will be permanent. Why? Major General Smedley Butler had the answer when he said "war is a racket" and wrote a book by the same name. While high profits in the private sector come in at about 12%, wartime high profits can be 1800% and could run more for those who finance wars.
So while Americans ankle deep in history and thinking nationally watch gut wrenching adds for Wounded Warriors and Disabled Vets and then justify it by parroting the idiocy “ there fighting for our freedomâ€, the puppeteers of wars are living large, thinking globally, buying politicians and deciding what countries will be next to play their debt peonage game.
When Americans connect the dots that ISIS is the poison fruit from World War I seeded by Francois- Picot and Mark Sykes, fertilized by American interventionism with profits still being harvested by puppeteers they will understand why “war is a racketâ€.
Jim Boehm
With those thoughts let’s move to Chapter 1 where I’ll connect some dots and learn more about war and ISIS and how they are tied together.
Chapter 1
ISIS
When I wrote the first edition of Terminating Terrorism ISIS was not on the radar even though the events that have given us ISIS were.
ISIS or The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is also known as ISIL the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
There was controversy when President Obama used Levant to describe the area because as you can see the Levant includes Israel. There are probably a few Jewish people that would take exception to their being part of the Islamic state.
