Talboys 9456TAHDCHA Advanced Digital Heavy-Duty Vortex Mixer with Swiss Plug, 230V, 300-3500rpm
The Talboys 9456TAHDCHA Advanced Digital Heavy-Duty Vortex Mixer, designed for continuous duty, has variable speed of 300 to 3,500rpm (in touch mode) for gentle shaking to rapid vortexing of samples, can be operated by touch or in continuous mode, and has a timer with a range of one second to 160 hours. The timer shows elapsed time in continuous mode, or can be programmed with a defined mixing time to shut off the unit when the timer reaches zero. This mixer comes with a cup head for mixing a single test tube, a universal holder and cover for mixing irregularly shaped vessels, and a foam insert for (38) 1.5mL to 2.0mL microtubes. The insert fits into the universal holder. Additional foam inserts and holders (sold separately) are available for various tubes, microplates, and vessels. The mixer has electronic controls with an LED display that shows speed and time for accurate, repeatable results, and its microprocessor control provides uniform mixing action. It has European Conformity (CE) marking. Vortex shakers are commonly used in laboratories to mix liquids.

Vortex shakers mix small amounts of liquid in laboratory containers for biochemical, microbiological, and other applications. A vortex shaker can be analog or digital and is commonly an automated, electrically powered, benchtop unit with a base that holds a rubber cup or a platform that spins off center. The user places a test tube, beaker, or other small vessel of liquid onto the spinning cup or platform, creating a vortex to mix the liquid. Some models can hold multiple containers, often by an accessory attached to the base. Additional features may include fixed or variable speeds, touch or hands-free operation, and various voltages.
