Pure Tahitian Vanilla Extract is made solely from Tahitian vanilla beans. The Tahitian variety of bean (Vanilla tahitensis) is a completely different species than the traditional ingredient for extracts, the Bourbon-Madagascar bean (Vanilla planifolia). This extract provides a more aromatic flavor, with fantastic floral overtones that come out when mixed in cream for crème brulee, pastry cream and ice cream.
