TROPICA - Orange Jasmin (Murraya paniculata) - 12 Seeds - Bonsai

TROPICA® - Orange Jasmin (Murraya paniculata) - 12 Seeds

Worth knowing: The ever-green Orange Jasmin develops glossy, dark-green leaves and has plenty of little cream-coloured, fragrant flowers.

Origin: The Orange Jasmin is native in Asia and Indonesia.

Propagation: Seeds can be started indoors any time throughout the year. Soak the round, slightly furry seeds in water at room temperature overnight and sow them on moist seed starting soil afterwards. Cover the seeds just thinly with soil and place the cultivation container in a warm location (20° to 25°C). Provided an even humidity, the seeds should germinate after 3 to 4 weeks.

Place / Light: The plant loves bright places in the house or sunny to semi-shaded places outdoors in summer. Leaves become brighter when exposed to direct sun.

Care: Water extensively during the summer months and care for a good drainage for standing water is very harmful to the plant. From April until October, the Orangen-Jasmin should be supplied with liquid bonsai-fertilizer every 3 weeks.

Winter period: Once 6 to 8 leaves have been produced, prune them back with 2 to 3 leaves remaining. Now and then remove larger and older leaves. First signs of flowers should show in June/July. If you want the flowers to thrive, do not carry out any pruning during summer.
