The imported brands with small diameter round tube that may have to be assembled are no comparison to our fully welded step stool. First we start with 1"; diameter square steel that is completely welded together for unmatched strength. The first step is a comfortable 8"; from the floor and each step is a roomy 27 1/2"; wide and 12"; deep. The second step is 17"; from the floor. It comes with a hand rail that can be placed on either the left or right side that is 52 1/2"; tall allowing for extra control and comfort (we also have a 2 hand rail option in a different listing). Best of all our step stool has HD spring loaded casters that allow it to roll easy around the room or down the hallway. But as soon as you begin to step on the first step the spring loaded casters compress so the metal frame is standing sturdy on the floor. But we didn't stop there, we added spacers in the rubber leg caps that create the perfect fee wheeling height on solid floors. Simply remove the rubber leg caps and the spacers inside and you have gained a 1/4"; more clearance just in case you are on a carpeted surface.
