The blade of this tachi is made of high-class Damascus folded steel. 14 times folded forge makes the blade have over 16,000 layers and beautiful grains. Clay temper process totally follows ancient way. Every blade is unique because the grains and hamon can't be duplicated. The strength of this Damascus steel is close to 1095 high carbon steel, the blade is suitable for heavy cutting. The blade is full tang with hand engraved Mei(signature), it is fixed into tsuka(handle) by two Mekugis. The sword is equipped with common hard wood saya with copper ends, silk sageo/ito, premium copper tsuba and genuine same(rayskin) on tsuka. It is a very good choice for the following use: Dojo, iaito, gifts, cutting practice, display and art collection.
