Sugoi Steel Samurai Senshi Elemental Shrine Katana Functional 1060 HC Koshirae Shirasaya Sword

Shirasaya have undergone a brief transformation to having all the features of a Katana, but without the Tsuba (hand guard) installed. A Tsuba-less Koshirae was used for both ceremonial and functional purposes, and still used the same blade as the Katana.

Here you have that traditional Katana style, yet lacking the Tsuba, making this both a functional Japanese sword, and a ceremonial sword of peace. It also features a hand forged 1060 high carbon steel blade that is razor sharp and made for the sole purpose of cutting and slicing. Another bonus is the small utility knife placed in the Saya next to the sword, which could be used as a tool on a regular basis. When placing the blade back into the Saya, it is necessary to pull the tool outwards some, or even remove it to seat the sword all the way.
