What's new in Cubase Pro 8

All customers who have activated an earlier version of Cubase or Cubase Artist (includes full retail version, educational version, updates and upgrades) on October 15, 2014, or later, are eligible to obtain a free Grace Period update to Cubase Pro 8.

Please note: Cubase is activated as soon as you have entered your activation code within the eLicenser Control Center (eLCC). The date of activation is the determining factor - not the date of purchase or the registration date.

1: Start the eLicenser Control Center application, found under Start/Programs/ eLicenser on a Windows PC or in the Applications folder of Mac OS X. Click on the "Maintenance" button. Your license will then be replaced by a Cubase Pro 8 or Cubase Artist 8 license and the Steinberg Grace Period site will be opened.

2: Enter your USB-eLicenser number and click "Check for Grace Period eligibility". Once your eligibility is confirmed, a download link will be displayed.

3: Download the Cubase Pro 8 update and start installing.
