Spyraflo NPB2-500-AF Delrin Acetyl Bearing Pillow Block, 2 Bolt Holes, 0.500" Bore Diameter, Washdown, Nickel-Plated Aluminum, Inch
This Spyraflo pillow block bearing has a nickel-plated aluminum housing and a Delrin-AF acetyl bearing insert with a 0.500-inch bore, and is suitable for supporting shafts that carry light radial and thrust loads in washdown applications, such as in in food, dairy and pharmaceutical processing. The Delrin-AF acetyl bearing is able to rotate at higher speeds than regular acetyl bearings. The one-piece nickel-plated aluminum bearing housing is lightweight and corrosion resistant, has a flat square foot to help accurately align the housing, and has two bolt holes. The Delrin acetyl sleeve is pressed into a stainless steel insert and is corrosion resistant. This bearing allows self-realignment of up to 5 degrees and compensates for static and dynamic alignment errors, has an operating temperature range of -40 to 180 degrees F, and is permanently sealed and lubricated to help extend service life. This acetyl sleeve bearing pillow block is suitable for use in food, dairy and pharmaceutical processing and packaging.
Mounted bearings combine a bearing mounted inside a housing unit. The bearing housing replaces the need for a casting or weldment to position the bearing securely for reliable operation, and its design determines the type of insert bearing. Insert bearings use rolling elements (ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindled, or tapered) to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction, and to support radial and axial loads. Available in a variety of materials and mounting configurations, mounted bearings can be one- or two-piece, they can have an extended inner ring and locking device, and they can have seals and end caps that retain lubrication and protect the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris. Mounted bearings support shafts in a variety of mounting configurations (flange block, hanger, pillow block, and take-up block), and are used in a range of applications from light duty shaft guidance on conveyors to road building equipment and crushers.
