Treat yourself to the gorgeous vocals, wondrous melodies, and solid orchestration by 13 bravitas from the city of angels. This album includes a lovely, haunting tribute to Selena, "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom/No Me Queda Mas," for the bewitching vocal harmonies of the former, the elegantly romantic lyrics of the latter. The cool Rocio Durcal tribute, "Amor Eterno/Me Gustas Mucho/No Lastimas Mas/Tu Abandono/Me Nace del Corazon," is impressive with its impeccably harmonic voices sure to cause shivers. Or at least goosebumps. The magic is in the young women's soaring vocal power and the exquisite fidelity of the instrumentation: violins, vihuelas, guitars, and guitarrons. Guest-former Reyna Nydia Rojas turns in a robust reading on José Alfredo Jimenez's evergreen "Cuando el Destino." --Ramiro Burr
