The right size backpack to carry your books - not too big and not too small. This woven ethnic cotton fabric backpack measures 16" long by 13" wide; the side gusset is 6" wide and the bottom gusset is 5" deep. The inside is lined and the backpack closes with a bi-directional zipper pull. The outside zippered pocket measure 7" wide by 8.5" long; room to carry keys, phone, calculator, pens/pencils or other loose items. The cotton straps with leather are 2" wide, comfortable and adjustable. Due to the woven cotton, not intended for more than 8 lbs of contents. These backpacks are fairly traded and handmade by artisans in Nepal. A perfect all around light weight and sturdy backpack.
