The name Shepard Fairey
brings to mind street art images and graphic activism. Fairey's career began with a philosophy of skate-punk public art that made him a counterculture icon in the early 1990s. For the past 25 years, the folk hero's work has served as a call to action for numerous causes, including Occupy Wall Street, Rock the Vote, World AIDS Day, Earth Day, UN International Day of Peace, and global warming.
