Bo-hi: With bo-hi, In order to lighten it and provide audible feedback when swung. It is called Blood-Groove sometimes.
Hamon: Clay tempered line hamon
Tsuba: Alloy tsuba, Is used to protect your hand from sliding onto the blade during thrusts. Two brass Seppas secure the tsuba.
Kashira & Fuchi: Alloy
Menuki: Alloy
Habaki: Brass habaki to make the saya tight to the blade, so it is normal if there is scratch on.
Tsuka: Hard wood wrapped over white genuine ray skin Samegawa with black synthetic silk Ito.
Tang: Full Tang, which greatly enhances the strength of the sword. It's secured by two mekugis.
Saya: Lacquered wooden scabbard, black specking
Sageo: Black synthetic silk, used to tie the sword on your waist as a belt in the old time, but now we usually tie on the saya as in the picture.

This Katana can be taken apart fully anytime for maintenance purposes, you can disassemble the sword from the handle by taking out two pegs.
