SECRETS OF THE LAKE Lake Conemaugh, the playground of the Pittsburgh rich (names like Carnegie, Mellon, Phipps, Frick, and Pitcairn) is where Caleb McBride, a struggling immigrant science teacher, accidentally meets and falls in love with Annabelle Prescott, the vivacious and strong-willed daughter of a steel baron. At the same time, Caleb discovers the fatal flaw in the dam holding back the waters.
