The anti-bonding molecules migrate to the glass surface to form a highly protective but completely invisible surface layer, repelling water and contaminants. Screenguard permits safer driving in wet conditions by deflecting raindrops from the glass as 'beads' at speeds of over 30mph. This overcomes the problem of reduced visibility caused by rain filming across the screen, and reduces the need for wipers.
