Schumann & Grieg Piano Concertos

Pianist Radu Lupu joins the London Symphony Orchestra in performing Schumann's Piano Concerto Op. 54 and Grieg's Piano Concerto Op. 16 as conducted by Andre Previn. Grieg was essentially a pianist and many of his harmonic characteristics proceed from the keyboard itself. This concerto, his most extended composition, admirably reveals the essence of his style. The melodies are all original but they have a freshness that seems to come straight from the Norwegian woods and fields. Available for the first time on the XRCD24 Format developed by JVC this release is destined to become an Audiophile Classic!
