* Melzi is a  fullfeatured board using the ATMEGA 1284P 16MHZ ( is being tested) chip . This is a Sanguinololu firmware compatible board, need not the extra fan, hasing micro SD on board as well. A full firmware is on board as well negating the need for external stepper motor drivers.

Notes:

The Melzi design is excellent but if you are going to run a heat bed the traces on the Sanguinololu board are NOT sufficient to carry the current required to operate the heat bed.
