SPZ Type 1/2" Collet for FH 12 Toolholders

The SPZ type ½" collet is used in the Suhner FH 12 straight toolholder. It replaces the standard ¼" collet and enables the use of abrasive and polishing accessories with a ½"" shank. Examples include flap wheels, buffing wheels, sanding drums and other accessories up to 6" in diameter that are mounted on a ½" shank arbor. The ½" collet is necessary in applications involving heavy or large diameter abrasives and buffs that should not be run on a ¼" shank arbor with the standard ¼" collet for safety reasons. As a rule of thumb, any abrasive accessory or buff in excess of 3" in diameter should be mounted on a ½" shank arbor and require the ½" collet.
